I haven’t been on this site in a VERY long time. But nonetheless, this morning requires that I do so.
There are seldom times that I actually give an explanation to a picture, or tell a story over the internet (especially one where I’m not complaining) but this morning I made bacon and eggs for breakfast.
Why is this a big deal? Well, I make them the same way my daddy has always done it. I remember a girl scouting trip where he cooked breakfast on a campfire and I watched and have managed to store that memory back and use it myself. You simply cook the bacon, leave the grease, then use that to cook the eggs. I love it. The taste, the texture, the “campfire” feel it brings back just due to the method of it.
It’s not all the time we think to write these moments down, where we realize we’ve had a method of doing something that comes from a sweet memory thanks to our parents.
I love my daddy. and knowing that I’ve actually taken the time to sit and type this out, I’m going to appreciate the little things I recall more often.
Woo breakfast!
You hate the feeling. But you love the feeling. You told yourself not look at him. But your eyes connected. You said not to smile at him. But you giggled. You were supposed to keep your distance, but you cant stay away. No matter how hard you try not to. You like him.
You cant control…
